About Us

Here at the Mary Ellen Wallace Foundation, our mission is to narrow the educational, wealth and achievement gap faced by people and communities that are under-represented and have been historically disenfranchised, especially people and communities of color in Boston. We will help to fill in the knowledge gaps that are oftentimes left out of the classroom and missing in our community; Financial literacy, taxes, investments, and a growth Mindset.

The creator of the foundation, Victor Divine, was raised in a household where education was a top priority. After completing college with an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business, Victor quickly realized how uneducated he was in many of life’s obstacles and opportunities. He quickly began his journey to become more financially literate and continued his education beyond the classroom. Victor is now a successful Realtor in the Boston area, and wanting to give back to his community.

The sole purpose of the Mary Ellen Wallace Foundation is to pass along useful “life knowledge” to young adults getting ready to leave the nest. All of the students that complete the 8 series workshop will at a minimum receive a scholarship to cover their college required materials, and if qualified receive additional scholarship funds toward college credits.

Outside of helping people buy and sell homes, Victor is a marathoner. Victor is personally committed to donating a minimum of 4.4% of his real estate commission into the Mary Ellen Wallace Foundation Scholarship Fund. He is also committed to running a minimum of 10 races per year (5ks, 10ks, half marathons and full marathons) to help fundraise. A minimum scholarship of free college books is guaranteed, but ideally each student will be granted an additional scholarship on top of that depending on the amounts raised.
